SPEEDWAY: King’s Lynn speedway promoter Keith Chapman was a guest at the Houses of Parliament last week.

Chapman, who is also the chairman of the British Speedway Promoters Association, met Members of Parliament who form the all-party parliamentary speedway group.

North West Norfolk MP Sir Henry Bellingham said: “I am incredibly proud that King’s Lynn and West Norfolk host one of the country’s top speedway arenas – the Adrian Flux Arena in Saddlebow Road.

“Year in, year out, they host different major national and international events, and we are so fortunate to have them in our locality.

“I am equally proud of the fact that Keith, the promoter of our local speedway arena is also chairing the national speedway association. This is a great accolade for King’s Lynn.

“Since we have started the All Party Group, it has gone from strength to strength, so much so that every speedway arena across the country now regularly host their local MPs to meetings.

“I was also delighted to have a chance to play a part in the awards ceremony, and was asked to present the new Innovation award, and it was better still that this went to a company based just outside Norwich, called Poultec, run by Ed Bales.”

Poultec successfully launched an apprenticeship scheme for young riders.
