Staff at TSB in King’s Lynn have kick-started their charity appeal with a donation.

The Tuesday Market Place branch has donated £100 and two boxes of toys and craft items to King’s Lynn Child Contact Centre.

The centre has been chosen as the branch local charity partner in a national scheme in which TSB branches will be supporting nearly 500 causes chosen from 25,000 customer nominations.

Nancy Bainbridge, manager at the Lynn branch, said: “King’s Lynn Child Contact Centre is a local cause that’s close to people’s hearts here in Lynn and we are delighted to welcome them as our new Local Charity Partner.

“We’re busy planning lots of fundraising activities for the coming months and can’t wait to build our partnership with them and support the vital work they do.”

Andy Rodger, of the Columbia Way contact centre, said: “It’s fantastic that a high street bank is supporting local charities in this way.

“The support the TSB will give us will be invaluable, helping us raise money and awareness.

“We are a new, supported child contact centre, run entirely by trained volunteers, who have been authority checked.

“Two volunteers are registered social workers.”
