Visitors can get an insight into the working of a busy hospital when Queen Elizabeth Hospital opens its doors for an event on Sunday.
An open day will be held at the King’s Lynn hospital from 10am to 3pm. There will be stands, the East Anglian Air Ambulance and a fire engine on display.
There will be a bug hunt for children who can also bring their ‘wounded’ toys to a special toy hospital for ‘treatment’.
Dorothy Hosein, hospital chief executive, said: “The open day is an important opportunity for people to see both the transformation to the hospital building, in terms of our new theatres and our new Breast and Midwifery Led Birthing Units, but also see how we are working to ensure we continue to provide an excellent standard of care to our patients.”
Parking will be free.
