A restaurant owner has said she is happy to be back serving customers in King’s Lynn after a four-year break.

Louise Ho, along with David Lau, has re-opened Silk Road Restaurant and takeaway in Railway Road.

After being redecorated, the Chinese restaurant opened its doors again last month.

“We closed because we were very short-staffed,” explained Mrs Ho.

“So I transferred the remaining staff to my other two restaurants on the coast and we also closed the Lynn restaurant.”

Mrs Ho and Mr Lau, who is also head chef, originally started working at Lynn’s Silk Road in 1991, before fully taking it over in 2001.

The husband and wife and team have another restaurant, Silk Road II, in Lynn Road, Heacham.

They also formerly ran Silk Road Takeaway in Creake Road, Burnham Market, which closed earlier this year.

And the couple also have a seasonal takeaway, Silk Road Express at the Searles Leisure Resort in Hunstanton.
