TABLE TENNIS: Topspynn have been crowned King’s Lynn TTA Premier Division Barrett Doubles winners.
Ross Brown, Ben Avery, Karl Brown and Richard Johnson have been dominant throughout the season.
Second place is still up for grabs with Ziggys being beaten 9-0 by Heacham’s James Patterson, Mark Dare and Molly Patterson.
Brett Heppenstall, Peter Munch and Alan Ashberry gave Wisbech Wizards a 6-3 win against Wasps.
Wisbech Hawks were beaten 8-1 by Martin Skipper, Peter Pegg and Johnny Reavell of Pegg Scaffolding.
Jerry Irving, Rob Rix and Danny Vertigan put up a good fight for Wisbech against St James but Serafim Melo, Owen Turner and Mark Pearman won 7-2.
An unbeaten performance from Chris Ely, David Whitby and Jeff Chung secured the Division One Barrett Doubles title for Ambit Projects with a 9-0 win against Spin Doctors.
The battle for second place was very close with Wasps 2 just holding on after a 9-0 win against Swaffham Terriers, who could not field a team and had to concede the match.
This was unfortunate for third-placed Runcton Holme, who battled their way to a 9-0 win against their B team and ended just two points short.
Paul Barrett, Steve Hunt and Phil Brown gave Paul’s Driving School fourth place with a fine 7-2 win against Heacham A.
Greenfingers completed an excellent doubles season, finishing fifth after dishing out a 9-0 win against bottom side Blades.
David Woolley, Christine Woolley and Leigh McDonald just held on for Heacham A with a narrow 5-4 win against Peter Fysh, Keith Richardson and Peter Nunn of Swaffham Terriers.
