Festival Too committee members admire the prize on offer from Thurlow Nunn.

Festival Too committee members have lined-up a top prize for their golf day next month.

Teams will compete at Middleton Golf Club on Wednesday, May 11 to raise much-needed funds for the free music festival, held in King’s Lynn since 1985.

Now, thanks to major sponsor Thurlow Nunn Vauxhall, players scoring a hole in one  on the day will win a new Vauxhall Corsa Sting.

Simon Grylls, Thurlow Nunn regional director, said: “I am delighted that our company is able to sponsor this fundraising event, and also to be able to support the fantastic work that the Festival Too team does each year in order to put on this free festival for the people of West Norfolk.”

The Festival Too committee needs to raise thousands of pounds every year to keep the festival going and provide free entertainment, from bands and  fireworks to children’s entertainers.

Members organise a variety of fundraisers to help cover the costs involved and it’s hoped the golf day will become an annual event.

This year’s festival will open on Saturday, June 25 and the line-up is due to be announced shortly.

Acts in previous years include  Blue, Heather Small, The Stranglers, Scouting For Girls and The Hoosiers.
