King’s Lynn’s Festival Too has received a bumper boost in the form of a £1,000 donation from a West Norfolk company.

Simon Mace, site manager at the Leziate base of Sibelco Europe, handed over a sponsorship cheque to committee chairman Bridget Nurse and vice-chairman, Alan Taylor.

They thanked the company on behalf of the committee for its donation.

Mr Taylor said: “Festival Too is very grateful to Sibelco as a new sponsor for this, our 31st year.

“Festival Too is 100 per cent sponsor-driven and companies like Sibelco ensure it continues to be a great success.”

The line-up for this year’s festival will be launched next month and full details will be in the May 27 edition of Your Local Paper.

The event will open on June 25 with a traditional fireworks display on the waterfront in Lynn, which has been sponsored by West Norfolk developers, Lovell.

Concerts will then be held on the Tuesday Market Place during the evenings of July 1, 2, 8 with the finale on the 9.

Acts over the last three decades have included rocker Suzi Quatro, Atomic Kitten, The Human League and Scouting for Girls.

The winners of this year’s Battle of the Bands will again perform on stage.
