To celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday, more than 1,000 beacons will be lit today (April 21) across Great Britain and overseas.

West Norfolk will be taking part in the celebrations as communities light their own beacons.

DERSINGHAM: Beacon lighting at St Nicholas Church, 8.30pm.

DOWNHAM MARKET: Lighting will take place at 8.30pm at St Edmund’s Church.

FAKENHAM: Event from 5pm at Millennium Park. Picnic party followed by beacon lighting at 7.30pm.

HUNSTANTON: Lighting of beacon at the cliff-top car park, 8.30pm.

KING’S LYNN: Event at South Quay with beacon lighting at 8.30pm.
