Snettisham driver Phil Wright chalked up two top-four places at Donington Park.

He made a great start to the new 750 Motor Club’s K-Tec Racing Clio 182 championship season, qualifying for both races in third position.

Wright was quick away from the lights at the start of race one and had secured second place by the end of lap four.

He drove well and, despite oil that had been dropped on the track by another competitor, was challenging for first place by the time the chequered flag dropped.

Wright had to battle with the drivers around him during race two owing to a lap two incident at the bottom of the Craner curves, just managing to hold on to fourth place by the time he crossed the finish line

Wright is next in action on Bank Holiday Monday, May 2 at Castle Combe in Wiltshire.

He thanked supporters Luke Loades of Rounce and Evans, Shaun Hagen Motor Services, Selina Automotive, All Signs, Grey’s of Holbeach and East Bilney Garage.
