KES pupil Reece Emsley has been selected for the British Gymnastic Tumbling Performance Pathway.

GYMNASTICS: A sporting journey that started at the age of eight has taken a huge step towards performing at world class level for a King Edward VII pupil.

Reece Emsley has been selected for the British Gymnastic Tumbling Performance Pathway and will start training at their headquarters at Lilleshall next month.

The Year 10 pupil started gymnastics training at the age of eight and has competed in many regional and national acrobatics competitions, but decided after the National Acrobatics competition in 2014 to concentrate on tumbling as his specialism.

Emsley said: “I am looking forward to getting started. It’s a great opportunity.”

He has competed at international level previously, coming fourth in Portugal last year representing Great Britain at the 10th Loule Cup.

KES Academy are sponsoring his training but are looking for sponsors for kit and competition fees.
