Battle of the Bands held an afternoon heat in King’s Lynn at the weekend.

The event was staged at Dr Thirsty’s and each of the four acts had the chance to perform a 30-minute set.

The joint winners were King’s Lynn-based singer/songwriter Kat Brittain with her seven piece band and Chasin Vegas, from Suffolk and Essex.

The band has a debut EP which is due for release later this spring and members have been featured on Australian TV.

The next heat, run by Twisted Melon and KL.FM, will feature Kolin Kurier, Event Horizon, Sacred Nations and Two-and-a-Half Days.

It will be held at Downham Market Club on Saturday, March 12 from 8pm.
