A grant of £857 from Norfolk Community Foundation will buy safety equipment and roller skates, enabling younger players aged between six and 12 the opportunity to experience the sport at a competitive level.

The club is offering three free sessions at Lynnsport on Fridays 6-7.15pm.

The club also offers a skating session on Fridays at Lynnsport for £1 between 5-6pm to anyone who owns a pair of skates.

Coaches are present to assist anyone who may require some help in learning to skate.

λ King’s Lynn’s England Roller Hockey League team pulled off a fine 7-5 win at Letchworth to move into joint fourth place in the Premier Division.

Letchworth took an early lead but further damage was avoided when Lynn goalkeeper Will Martin saved a penalty.

Josh Taylor levelled soon after and Lynn went ahead when a smart piece of play from Matt Baker set up Captain Vancouver man of the match Taylor to earn a half-time advantage.

Goals flowed in the second half. The hosts equalised but two goals in a minute from Michael Carter and Sam Kay made it 4-2. Letchworth pulled one back but Baker and Taylor struck to make it 6-3.

Baker added the seventh to leave a home revival pointless.
