Two Buddhist monks have blessed a new restaurant  in Gaywood.

They travelled from Birmingham to King’s Lynn for a traditional ceremony on Tuesday.

Thai Royale, in Lynn Road, which is also serves takeaway food opened the next day.

Atch Nalty, who runs Thai Royale, said:  “I invited the monks to come and bless it for good luck and good health as it is our tradition.

“So many people from the Thai community turned-out to come and see the monks.”

Mrs Nalty previously ran a restaurant in Sheffield until she moved to King’s Lynn.
