A programme of health walks which start in towns and villages throughout West Norfolk will start in January for residents who want to be more active and meet new people.

Active Norfolk’s Fit Together walks programme will offer gentle walks for those who  are new to being active or returning from injury or illness.

They will be short, locally-held with trained volunteers on-hand for support.

All the walks are free and there is no need to book.

Participants can attend as many or as few walks as they like but need to complete a registration form at the first walk.

Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a short lead.

Programme details will be available to pick-up from libraries, council offices and doctor’s surgeries.

They contain walk dates, times and where to meet.

Programmes can also be downloaded from www.activenorfolk.org/fittogether
