Kuk Sool Won of King’s Lynn Martial Arts School students with their trophies and awards.

MARTIAL ARTS: The Kuk Sool Won of King’s Lynn Martial Arts School has been placed eighth out of 70 UK schools.

School owners and instructors Darren and Marie Brown took a team of 20 students to the Kuk Sool Won UK tournament in Liverpool with almost 600 other competitors.

The team did a fantastic job in many different events, from empty hand and weapons forms to self-defence techniques, breaking and sparring.

“We are very proud of all our students that competed. Congratulations!” said
Mr Brown.

The weekend also saw four of the couple’s students promoted – Jo Kyo Nim 1st degree black belt, Ashley Walters, Simon Mallick, Callum Mallick and Charli Gibbs and James Lai Pu Sa Bum Nim 3rd degree black belt.

The school also has a new grand champion. JKN Abigail was awarded Junior 1st degree black belt grand champion.

New students are welcome to the school.

Starting age is four-six years for Lil Dragons, six-12 for juniors and 13-upwards for youth and adult.
