A 32-year-old man died after his car crashed into a water-filled dyke on Tuesday morning.
Andrew Jarvis of Marshland St James was driving a Volkswagen on his way to work in King’s Lynn when it left the road at Gravel Bank.
Police were called just after 7.25am and other branches of the emergency services also attended.
Mr Jarvis was found inside the vehicle but efforts were made to resuscitate him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family issued a statement yesterday afternoon.
“The family of Andrew Jarvis has been devastated by his tragic death on Tuesday, November 24, on his way to work at Palm Paper.
“He was a hard-working fiance, daddy, son, brother, uncle and cousin. He was the kindest, caring and most easy-going man anyone could have had the pleasure of loving.”
An inquest will be opened in due course.
Police officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident on Tuesday morning.
