A West Norfolk business has received a prestigious, national award for its customer service.

Independent funeral directors, Thornalley Funeral Service Ltd, was praised by people who bought pre-paid funeral plans during 2014/15.

The family-owned business has received the 2015 Customer Service Award after a survey conducted by Funeral Planning Services Ltd, a company which provides administrative and investment services associated with pre-paid funeral plans.

Customers who responded to the questionnaire said they felt they had received a helpful and informative service from the business, which is based in Austin Street, King’s Lynn.

“Plan buyers said they had peace of mind knowing their loved ones would not be burdened with having to make decisions at a difficult time, or have to worry about unexpected financial costs when the time came,” said a spokesman for Funeral Planning Services Ltd.

Mr Ray Thornalley received the award at a gala dinner hosted by Funeral Planning Services’ chief executive, David Taylor, and held at The Belfry in Sutton Coldfield.

Thornalley’s is run by father Ray and son Andrew.

Andrew Thornalley said this was the third consecutive time it has received the award.
