MARTIAL ARTS: The next generation of martial artists passed the next grade at Kuk Sool Won Martial Arts School.

Forty youngsters graded and passed their next grade.

It was an amazing week of gradings with all the students giving extra to perform empty handed forms and numerous self-defence techniques on each other.

All the school’s instructors were excited to see the students progress to the next level and cannot wait to teach them some new skills in kicking and more advanced forms and self-defence techniques.

λ King’s Lynn’s Harry Russell and Jonathan Mendes excelled at the TAGB South East Championships.

Twelve students from the Mark Farnham Schools of Tae Kwon-Do took part in the tournament – with pattern, sparring, destruction and team sparring events at the Surrey Sports Park, Guildford.

The schools won 16 medals, including nine first places, with four of them going to the Lynn pair, as well as a second place.

Mendes was first in the boys red belt sparring and team sparring, as well as second in the pattern.

Russell was first in the boys red belt sparring and team sparring.
