FOOTBALL: Three out of five West Norfolk teams made it through to the fourth round of the Norfolk County FA Junior Cup.
Gayton United were awarded a walkover against higher level Costessey Sports but West Lynn had to work hard to secure a 2-1 win at North East Norfolk League side Holt United Reserves. John Connolly and Max Goodrum were the heroes with a goal in each half.
Ingoldisthorpe pulled off the shock of the round, beating Anglian Combination Division Two side Wells Town 4-2.
But there was no joy for Redgate Rangers, beaten 3-2 at home by Gorleston Reserves despite a brace from Ryan Juby, and Watlington, 1-0 losers at home to Great Yarmouth Town Hall.
Dersingham Rovers slipped up at home to Harleston Town in the Premier Division of the Anglian
Combination.
The visitors picked up their first points of the season with a 2-1 win. Ash Smith and Alex Clunan went close to putting Rovers ahead but they fell behind.
Loui Gaughran equalised but a late winner secured the points for Town.
After a slow start, Dersingham Reserves dominated their Division Four match at Thorpe Village, rattling up a 12-1 win.
Ady Day 4, Andrew Wood 2, Freddie Minns 2, Brad Key 2, George Rawlings and Travis Mortimer grabbed the goals.
