Jamie White hit 101 for Dersingham.

Snettisham’s Kieran Herbert is in the running for a prestigious national award after taking all 10 wickets in his team’s West Norfolk League Division One victory at Castle Rising.

Herbert is among the nominees for this week’s www.cricketworld.com Club Performance of the Week award. Voting closes at noon on Monday.

Snettisham racked up 216/6 after openers Jonathan Forder (88) and Lewis Jeavons (49) laid solid foundations.

But then Herbert took centre stage, clean bowling eight of the home batsmen with another two caught as he struck for a perfect return of 10-35 as Rising succumbed for 67.

The day’s other highlight came in Division Three, where Jamie White scored 101 for Dersingham Seconds in their 151-run victory over their Denver counterparts.

Opening batsman White’s combination of powerful drives and the ability to concentrate throughout a long innings saw him reach his ton, after several good partnerships with contributions from Jack Hazel, Daniel Coggins and Michael Hazel.

But Denver kept the pressure on with no other batsman reaching double figures. Henry Davidson was the pick of their bowlers, finishing with 3-44.

Denver started their reply well and opener Harvey Wardle hit 27. But the Dersingham bowlers soon got on top with excellent spells from Benji Linsell (2-18) and Michael Hazel (3-4), combined with two brilliant run outs from Will Pennington, and Jason Southgate rolling the years back with three stunning catches.
