Visitors to the Denver Sluice complex found plenty to see during a special open day.

Around 300 people attended the event, part of Ousefest, celebrating the area’s unique landscape.

The open day included the chance to enjoy boat trips with the river inspector and taster sessions with the West Norfolk rowing club.

Both the Norfolk Wildlife Trust and the RSPB were on-hand to explain about biodiversity of the area.

The event proved such a success that the organisers hope to repeat it again next year.

The Ousefest draws to a close this weekend when there are a variety of events organised with project partners and Lottery funding..
