The King’s Lynn Stars gained revenge for Monday’s 55-35 defeat at Kirkmanshulme Lane with a hard-fought victory in the return at the Adrian Flux Arena on Wednesday.

Niels-Kristian Iversen’s fine form continued as the Stars ran out 49-41 victors to extend their run of home success.

Iversen only finished behind another rider once all evening, beaten by the impressive Matej Zagar in the first race of the night.

Robert Lambert returned to the line-up and scored 8+2, despite still feeling the effects from a crash at Berwick.

Cardiff wildcard Craig Cook enjoyed a good night for the visitors, scoring 10+1 from his five rides.

The Stars miserable away form had continued in Manchester two nights earlier.

Despite an opening heat 5-1 for the visitors, it was all downhill after that.

A few Stars riders were caught out by the track with Lewis Kerr, Nicklas Porsing and Kenneth Bjerre all hitting the dirt when in scoring positions.

Stars at Belle Vue: Iversen 9+1, Porsing 5, Bjerre 5, Howarth 5, Milik 4+1, Kerr 5+1, Morris 2.

Stars v Belle Vue: Iversen 14, Porsing 6+1, Bjerre 8+1, Lambert 8+2, Milik 5, Roynon 6+1, Morris 2.
