Festival week continues on Friday with a coffee morning in the Town Hall at 10am.

There will also be a baby show and fancy dress competition from 2pm to 4pm also in the Town Hall.

The fancy dress contest is open to children of school age.

Southfields residents are holding a cream tea in their community hall from 2pm to 4pm and visitors are welcome.

The Macmillan fundraising quiz is tonight from 7.30pm with teams of four, at £5 per person, invited to take part.

The last day of the festival, Saturday, sees a craft fair from 9.30am in the Town Hall.

The winner of the shop window dressing competition will be revealed and the festival flag will be lowered at 4pm to officially close the week of events.

The planning will then begin for next year’s festival and parade.
