Former England badminton player Donna Kellogg with members of West Norfolk Junior Badminton club.

BADMINTON: Members of West Norfolk Junior Badminton received some world-class coaching at Sunday’s training session.

They were joined by former Great Britain player Donna Kellogg, who brought along her two European gold medals and a silver medal from the World Championships for the players to see, as well as autographing bags and kit.

Kellogg had a career high world ranking of No.4 in women’s doubles, was a triple Olympian and gold medallist at European and Commonwealth Games level.

She has also won 11 national doubles titles and, with Anthony Clark, was mixed doubles runners-up in the 2006 World Championships.

She is now a coach for Team Derby in the National Badminton League.

The Olympian coached all three training groups at the West Norfolk development squad in the afternoon, as well as an extra two sessions at Lynnsport in the morning for a selection of children from various junior badminton clubs across West Norfolk.
