The Wheel Appeal is now celebrating the arrival of the 17th wheelchair.

The Motiv8 Exercise and Fitness team held a range of events earlier this month to raise money for the appeal.

Thanks to the hard work of everyone who took part, a total of £930 was raised – enough for one whole chair and £130 towards another.

MiniMotiv8 held two events aimed at children with a one hour ‘workout for wheels’ for those aged from five to 10.

There was also a MiniMotiv8 ‘wheely mad’ event organised by Pamela Chapman which saw teams of adults and children pushing a tractor tyre through The Walks in King’s Lynn.

“Nineteen children, plus parents, pushed the tyre and did a military-style fitness class while enjoying mud and team-work. I would like to thank our members for their generosity” said Mark Flowers, founder and lead trainer of Motiv8.

There was also an adult event of beginner and taster class for everyone. Donors also ensured there were great raffle prizes with Wheel Appeal cakes (below) cooked by member Kelly Yardy.
