Under 12 girls.

HOCKEY: All four of the Pelicans u10 and u12 squads enjoyed top-three spots in their tournament at Lynnsport on Saturday.

The Under 12 boys led the way, with a first place finish, while their female counterparts finished second in their section.

A goal from Emily Pluck was enough to beat Harleston II and she repeated the feat in a similar result against Dragons I.

Pluck also scored one in the 6-0 hammering of Watton with Amber Scott and Poppy Beales grabbing two each and Mia Moore one.

In the semi-final play-off, Beales and Moore were on target in a 2-0 win over Norwich but the final went in favour of Harleston 2-0, to leave the hosts to settle for silver-medal position.

Growing in confidence are the u10 boys’ team who also came second in a real team effort.

The new u10s girls team began to get it together with many playing in their first match and tournament. They earned a well deserved third place, conceding only one goal against eventual winners Norwich City.

Pelicans junior training is held every Saturday, 8.45-10.15am and new players are welcome.
