FOOTBALL: Premier class is on show at Howard Primary School, in King’s Lynn, where the youngsters are resplendent in their new football kit.
The newly-named Howard Hotspurs are ready to kick-off in support of their favourite Premier League club when the new year begins in 2015.
Headteacher Greg Hill is an avid supporter of Tottenham Hotspur and effective alliteration has seen the school team nicknamed Howard Hotspurs.
Earlier this year, the school took 16 pupils to see their Spurs sporting heroes in the flesh when they played at Norwich City.
Team coach/manager Dave Martin said: “It was great for them to see their role models/idols and it inspired them to work harder on and off the football pitch.”
Unfortunately, their support failed to bring reward with the Carrow Road encounter ending in a single-goal victory for the Canaries. Their junior namesakes will be hoping for better luck.
