FOOTBALL: Hednesford are the visitors to The Walks tomorrow in the FA Cup and King’s Lynn Town will be hoping to put recent Evo-Stik form behind them.
After winning their opening three Premier Division matches, Gary Setchell’s side have won just once in seven.
The latest team to deny the Linnets any reward were Rushall Olympic, who won 3-1 on Saturday.
Rushall took the lead when Aaron Farrell finished off a cross from Zak Martin.
Injury-hit Lynn got back on level terms after 20 minutes when George Thomson’s shot was fumbled by the home goalkeeper and Jake Jones was on hand to prod the ball over the line.
Lynn then had the chance to take the lead when they was awarded a penalty after Rhys Thompson was penalised for fouling Jake Jones. But David Bell’s spot kick was saved by goalkeeper Cameron Belford.
The home side started the second half brightly and regained the lead following a fast counter attack that was neatly finished by Farrell. Chances came and went for Lynn but it was the home side who went further in front when Aaron Williams slotted home after fine play by Martin.
Lynn beat Boston Town 7-0 in their opening FA Cup encounter and will be aiming for a return to that form when Conference North big guns Hednesford come to town.
