Six fire appliances were called to a village family-run business on Wednesday.

Crews from King’s Lynn, Terrington St Clement and Downham Market were called to The Tile Shop at Fitton Road in Wiggenhall St Germans at around 10.14pm.

A spokesman for Norfolk Fire Service said the blaze started in  the display area of a warehouse.

It is understood around a quarter of this building was damaged.

The fire spokesman added that although the cause had not yet been finally established, it was thought to have been down to an electrical fault.

There were four appliances from King’s Lynn at the scene and an aerial ladder platform.

Firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus and main jets.

Crews remained at the scene until the early hours of yesterday.

A spokesman for the tile business said they did not want to comment about the blaze.

However, she confirmed it was “business as usual” yesterday morning.
