Safer Summer Staycation

An array of extreme sporting talent goes show from today (Friday) for three days as Hunstanton hosts some of Britain’s top kite surfers as part of the Lifestyles festival.

As well as the British Kitesports competitions, there will be live music and a Volkswagen show on The Green.

Festival-goers will be able to take part in extreme climbing, parkour, BMXing and skateboarding.

There will be free have-a-go power kiting sessions and visitors can see the work of local street artists.

The festival, which was first held in 2005, had to be cancelled last year because of funding and management problems.

However,  this year’s festival is set to be one of the biggest after extreme sports fans helped raise more than £20,000 through a public fundraising campaign and backing from a new headline sponsor, Highline Extreme.
