We are dedicated to providing safe and enjoyable activities for all at Lynnsport and I’m pleased to say we have achieved GymMark and Safer accreditations to mark this commitment.

The GymMark Scheme has been developed by British Gymnastics, in partnership with Sport England and the Home Country Sports Councils.

Its purpose is to provide recognition for clubs that are committed to providing good quality experiences, encouraging young people to take up sport, while focusing on improving their talent and maintaining a life-long participation in sport.

Gaining the accreditation for King’s Lynn Gymnastics Club means that the club are recognised by British Gymnastics as a safe, effective and child friendly club, providing a service in the community that children and young people, their parents/carers and others with a passion for gymnastics can trust.

The Safer Programme is focused on all aspects of safeguarding children and child protection. The accreditation requires all staff to undergo regular safeguarding training and ensures all appropriate policies and procedures are in place.

Both accreditations show the commitment we have to provide enjoyable, safe and inclusive activities.

Next week is the last week of the gymnastics term for recreation and elite classes before they stop for summer from Monday, August 18.

Holiday activities and gym pit fun time will continue during the first week but all activities will be stop from Sunday 24, returning on Monday, September 1.

We use this time to carry out maintenance tasks. Places can still be booked for the new term until the term starts.
