* Carl Breeze is ready for a weekend of racing at Croft, where the tyres will be paying the price.
United Autosports goes into the first of three Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup races at Croft this weekend leading the Teams’ title race.
King’s Lynn’s Carl Breeze and Cambridge-born Luke Davenport, placed fifth and sixth respectively, will be aiming to score the team’s second race win of the season.
Davenport achieved that success in the third round at Brands Hatch while Breeze has achieved four second place finishes in the last five races.
“I’m really looking forward to Croft. We tested there recently and I was 0.5secs faster than my front row start time from last year that bodes well.
“We worked through a tyre programme as, by the third race at Croft, the tyres will be in pretty bad shape due to the abrasive nature of the track surface.
“We were extremely unlucky not to win last time out at Oulton while my lap record confirmed the race pace.
“My aim is to repeat that kind of form at Croft especially as I now feel that I have a car beneath me that plays to my strengths, “ he said.
Richard Dean, team owner and managing director at United Autosports said: “Croft should be a good weekend for Luke, Carl and our Ginetta cars. We had a successful day testing there recently and so we are feeling positive going into the weekend.
“We go to Croft after a podium each for Luke and Carl at Oulton.
“Hopefully this time around we can get them both on the podium at the same time and possibly achieve our second win for the team.”
The 2014 Ginetta G55 GT4 car, driven by both men, uses the Ginetta developed 3.7-litre Ford V6 engine, producing 355bhp.
There is a new Hewland 6-speed sequential gearbox with a new-for-2014 Ginetta factory-developed pneumatic paddle-shift system.
United Autosports was founded in 2009.
