Budding singers and aspiring pop stars will have the chance to find out more  during an open day at King’s Lynn’s Vocal Hub.

The venue will be open on Sunday, June 22, from 10am to 4pm, at 7 King Street.

Gary Leonard set-up the hub and said the open day would be a good opportunity for people to have an assessment of their abilities.

The Vocal Hub, formerly the King’s Lynn School of Rock and Pop, was established in 2011 and currently has 45 students.

Among those are South Wootton teenager Eleanor Howard, 18, who has recently released her EP Don’t Forget Me.

The song was recorded and produced at the Vocal Hub and is now available from iTunes.

Another student is Sharon Clifton, 45, of Downham Market, who had her first lesson in February after it was bought for her as a Christmas gift.

“I would never have done this if my freind hadn’t bought me a lesson. But I am so glad I did.

“I have learned so much during my lessons about breathing and other techniques and I am even getting to grips with reading music,” she said.

Ms Clifton will be taking her Grade 3 singing exam this month and recently gave her first live performance.
