Sponsored cyclists had fun in the sun on Sunday when they took part in the annual charity ride organised by the Friends of King’s Lynn Samaritans.
A total of 98 cyclists pedalled routes around Sandringham and the villages raising what is hoped will be around £3,500 for branch funds.
There were routes of 14 miles and eight with refreshments and medals for the finishers.
North West Norfolk MP Henry Bellingham started the riders off and judged the fancy dress which had a Brazil theme.
Overall winners were Dersingham Post Office for the second year with their Amazon Rain Forest entry. Runners-up were The Parrots (Learning Resources) and The Amazon Boxes (King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Bicycle Users Group).
Best pair were The Lemon Team of Andrew Larham and Mark Gregory.
Joint best females were Claudia Gyton and Paulette Judd.
The children’s winners were all from King’s Lynn Scout Group.
Friends treasurer Chris Livesey explained the branch received no government funding and had to raise every penny for the vital service it offered.
