TABLE TENNIS: The final week of the King’s Lynn TTA season saw title successes for Ziggy’s, Premier, Runcton Holme A, Division One, and Wasps, Division Two.

In the Premier, a strong Walton Highway trio of Brian Hill, Alan Ashberry and Mike Crowson beat Avengers 9-1. Don Dixon got the Avengers’ point.

Terrington’s Karl, Phil and Ross Brown beat Pegg Scaffolding 8-2, for who Jon Reavell got two points.

St James’ Howard Lupton, Owen Turner and Mark Pearman beat Nets & Edges 9-1. Alan Jones beat Mark Pearman to prevent the 10-0.

In Division One, Runcton Holme A’s Jerry Irving, Tim Hines and John Mingay beat Paul’s Driving School 8-2, while Walton Highway B had Paul Reed and Graham Sheppard scoring maximums in a 7-3 win over Swaffham Terriers.

In Division Two, the Heacham C trio of Charlie Hammond, Mike Nobes and Mick Minns beat Ringstead 10-0.

Wasps’ Liam Irlam, Ryan Ringer Duffy and David Hughes beat Spin Doctors 9-1. Roger Chilvers beat David Hughes to prevent a whitewash.

* The presentation evening will be held at Walton Club on Saturday, May 17. Tickets are available from all committee members.

* Heacham had mixed fortunes as they signed off their King’s Lynn TTA season.

In the Premier, Heacham finished seventh, losing 7-3 to champions Ziggy’s. James Patterson top scored with two wins and teamed up with Ian Castle to win the doubles. Allan Nicholls was unbeaten for Ziggy’s.

In Division One, Heacham B team finished with an 8-2 win over Runcton Holme. Chris Fuller was unbeaten with Andy Marsh and Mary-Ann Woodhouse both winning two games, the B side finished in six.
