A business grants roadshow will be coming to Downham Market  at the end of this month.

The New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has announced 50 new business roadshows across Norfolk and Suffolk.

Downham will host the group on April 30 at the town hall and the event will help to highlight funding opportunities, free business support and training available to business owners.

The 2014 Business Roadshow will visit 50 locations this year and is sponsored by Business Shaper Group, Swinton Accountants and Ultimate Finance Group.

“There is a huge amount of free advice and support available to businesses but it is often hard to find. Working with Business Shaper Group on this initiative, further enables us to help local businesses by tapping into our combined expertise and resources, business owners can ensure that they are in the best possible position to grasp the opportunities as the country comes out of the recession,” said Jason Middleton, funding and projects manager at the New Anglia LEP.

A pilot run in December has seen 52 free business vouchers redeemed and £1.9m of investment secured.

“We would urge businesses of all sizes and industries, new and established, not to miss out on this fantastic opportunity. Whether they are looking to improve their business, to develop an innovative product or just to understand the various  options, taking two hours out could provide them with the information needed to help make their company more innovative and competitive in the future,” said Gary Douglas-Beet, managing director of the Business Shaper Group.

The event will run from 4pm to 6.30pm and registration can be conducted at the website: www.business-roadshow.co.uk

Leaflets will also be circulated in the town to encourage businesses to take part.
