A Downham Market company has stepped in with £10,000 towards saving the Lifestyles Festival in Hunstanton.

The future of the festival was in doubt, but the headline sponsorship from Highline Extreme, which makes mobile climbing walls, skate parks and high ropes, has helped secure Lifestyles.

Owner Chris Peach said Lifestyles was the right product with the right people.

“It is exciting and extreme and it’s in Norfolk,” he added.

The not-for-profit organising committee has appealed for sponsorship for the festival which features a range of sports from kite-surfing to BMX riding.

The £10,000 sponsorship announcement covers half the amount of an online campaign target which was launched at the King’s Lynn supporters’ evening held earlier this month.

There will be another supporters’ evening in Hunstanton tomorrow from 6pm at the Princess Theatre.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

Donations can be made to the festival via Crowdfinder which offers rewards from VIP access to T-shirts and back-stage passes.

Individuals can pledge as little as £3 to help the festival.
