Thrill-seekers are in for a treat when the traditional King’s Lynn Mart returns to the town next month.
The fair is due to open on the Tuesday Market Place at noon on Valentine’s Day and there promises to be something for all ages.
Visitors can expect all the usual attractions including bumper cars, games, the ghost train, waltzer, candy floss and sweets.
New additions this year include white knuckle rides Altitude and Oblivion, which swings riders on a giant pendulum while the carriages rotate.
A traditional carousel will also be positioned in the popular spot next to The Globe Hotel.
Children’s day will be on Monday, February 17 when rides will be £1, or £2 for the Booster and the dodgems.
The mart will be in town from Friday, February 14 to Tuesday, February 25 (excluding Sundays).
It will open at noon on Saturdays and on February 17 and 18 and at 5pm on the remaining days.
This year money will be raised for Red Wellies, The Lisa Wiles Brain Tumour Support Fund and West Norfolk Mayor Elizabeth Watson’s chosen charities.
To celebrate the mart’s 810th birthday, the Showman’s Guild will be distributing money-off vouchers.
A page of discount vouchers will be printed in Your Local Paper next week and on Friday, February 14.
