West Norfolk community groups and charities are being encouraged to take part in a popular food event when it returns this summer.
The tenth annual Around the World in 80 Dishes is to be held outside for the first time in the revamped Tuesday Market Place, in King’s Lynn, on Sunday, July 20.
Originally developed as part of Food Fortnight, the event gives families the chance to experience different cultures, learn about other countries and try new foods – all for free.
In previous years, visitors have been able to sample food from Australia, the Philippines, Brazil, China and South America.
The event relies on West Norfolk people from different backgrounds giving up their time to share their heritage, culture and food.
Organisers at West Norfolk Voluntary and Community Action (WNVCA) would like to hear from groups willing to take part.
This year’s event, sponsored by Freebridge Community Housing, is to be held from noon to 4pm.
Several hundred people attended last year’s event.
