FOOTBALL: Two first-half goals gave King’s Lynn Town too much work to do as they slipped to a 3-1 Evo-Stik Premier Division defeat at Rushall Olympic on Saturday.

Rushall took the lead after 20 minutes when Stanley Mugisha found himself unmarked 20 yards from goal and went round Alex Street before side-footing home, despite the best efforts of the Lynn defenders to get to the ball before it crossed the line.

The hosts scored again on the stroke of half-time when Dele Adebola held off a defender to slide an effort past Street.

Rushall’s third goal came eight minutes into the second half when a corner resulted in a scramble in the Lynn area and Jack Duggan pulled the ball back for Christian Dacres to head home.

Within minutes, the Linnets pulled a goal back when Massiah McDonald finished well, via a post, to score his first league goal for the club but it was too late to change the destiny of the points.
