GOLF: Bob Champion was among the players in the seventh running of the Campaign Care 94 Charity Golf Day at Heacham Manor.
He also presented the prizes after a sucessful day of eight teams in action, with £678.50 raised for the charity. Champion also received a cheque for £1,500 for the Bob Champion Cancer Trust from funds raised earlier.
Dan Overton won the CC94 Champion Trophy with The Adrian Large Memorial Trophy claimed for the third year running by Gavin Minns and Mikey Moore, supported this year by Dan Overton and Mark Bradley.
The Nearest the Pin competition was won by Roger Butler and The Straightest Drive by Gerry Mellough, while Mark Bradley picked up The Wooden Spoon prize, despite being in the overall winning team.
Jim’s Player of the Day trophy went to Nick Searle, who missed out on the individual trophy by one point.
Trustee Jim Race thanked all those who helped, especially his wife Janet, Searles for their help and local businesses and individuals for raffle prizes.
