Cyclists from across West Norfolk took part in a sponsored ride organised by the Campaign 94 cancer charity.

The ride saw fundraisers pedal from The Feathers in Dersingham to Bircham Windmill and back via the Sandringham estate on Sunday.

A family fun day was also held at the pub with a variety of stalls, face painting, tombola, smack-the-rat and a barbecue.

More than £250 was raised for the Heacham-based charity and trustee Terry Wagg said he was very happy with the turnout.

“The cycle ride went really well and we were pleased that so many people turned up for it even with the poor weather,” he added.

“We made in the region of £250 which will be really helpful to our charity.

“This is something we will definitely be doing again so thanks to everyone who took part.”

Campaign 94 raises money for The Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House and the Bob Champion Cancer Trust.
