Downham Market’s third annual Big Clean-Up will be held on Sunday.

Volunteers will be sprucing up the town from 10am to 4pm as part of its In Bloom campaign and extra help is always needed.

Free refreshments and tools are provided and the work will focus on the route to be taken by the Anglia in Bloom judges on Tuesday.

Town councillor Pam Sharp said lots of residents, businesses and local groups were getting involved including the Boys Brigade, a team from Tesco and the new Downham Volunteers group.

Activities will include weeding and litter picking and town mayor David Sharman (pictured) is expected to lend a hand.

Volunteers are meeting at the Town Hall at 10am.
