Military vehicle fans will have the chance to enjoy a great day out later this year.

A show is being held at Denver on Sunday, August 4 to raise money for Scotty’s Little Soldiers.

The event will include historic military vehicles of all kinds and has been organised by Norfolk military vehicle enthusiasts.

It will be held at Rookery Farm, Sluice Road from 10am to 4pm and will also inlcude a car boot sale.

“It is the first time we have supported Scotty’s and it’s a charity of major significance so we want as many people as
possible to support us,” said events committee member Thomas Williamson.

Supporters of Scotty’s will be heading to Leicester today for a marathon rugby match between the charity’s team and an armed forces team.

The event is aiming to break a world record for the longest game and is set to last for more than 24 hours.

A whole range of events are also being held around the game and the event is set to raise thousands for the Lynn-based charity.

Tickets for a ball with charity partron and Coronation Street actor Simon Gregson (Steve Macdonald) are still available.

The ball, on June 15, will be in Manchester’s Palace Hotel, and will have an American Diner theme.
