A spicy opening fixture will have King’s Lynn Town fans eagerly anticipating a new season.

The Linnets have already been busy preparing for life in the Premier Division of the Evo-Stik League with 16 of last season’s South Division title-winning squad signed up, as well as new recruit Ryan Robbins.

The striker rattled in 34 goals last season for Coalville Town and could make his debut in just six weeks’ time when manager Gary Setchell takes his team to his old club Wisbech Town in the first of their pre-season programme on Saturday, July 13.

The rest of the warm-up matches sees home games against AFC Sudbury (July 20) and Dereham Town (July 23) with a trip to Lowestoft Town (July 27) and St Neots Town (July 30) before Boston United visit The Walks on August 6.

The league season starts on Saturday, August 17, with the fixtures due out a month earlier.

Dan Quigley picked up three honours at the club’s presentation evening. He was named Friends’ Player of the Year, Supporters’ Player of the Year and Maurice Ebbs’ Award winner.
