The Bishop of Lynn has been hitting all the right notes with the launch of a charity CD.

The Rocking Bishop, the Rt Rev Jonathan Meyrick, will be donating the proceeds to the Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House and St Nicholas Chapel.

Everlasting Smiles From the 60s, is a collection of songs from the 60s and the disc will be sold through the hospice shop and website at

The 12-track disc includes the aptly-titled I’m a Believer, originally recorded by the Monkees, along with the Rolling Stones’ Satisfaction.

Rt Rev Meyrick is no stranger to the microphone as he joined Festival Too last year and performed with The Yesterdays during a show in the Tuesday Market Place.

The band’s bass player, Jamie Thurston, produced the new CD with the Bishop.

Rt Rev Meyrick has also appeared on ITV’s Stars in Their Eyes where he sang as Reg Presley – who was lead singer with The Troggs.

St Nicholas Chapel is currently undergoing a major restoration programme while the Norfolk Hospice is building a new facility at Hillington, near King’s Lynn.
