With one week before the end of the season, there were just seven King’s Lynn League Division One matches played.

There were no real surprises with all the top teams winning.

On Monday Runcton Holme beat Swaffham Terriers, with Melvyn Jupp and Steve Bailey going unbeaten, while Peter Fysh scored the Terriers’ single point in their 9-1 defeat.

Bottom-placed Ringstead lost 7-3 at home to Spivs Specials, who had Jim Race and Janice Howell picking up maximums.

Spin Doctors had Gary Wiggs in top form with an unbeaten display in a narrow 6-4 win over Sedgeford. Tuesday brought a 7-3 win for Ambit Projects at Heacham B. Graham Rogerson was Ambits’ star with a maximum.

On Wednesday, Runcton B felt the full force of champions Sedgeford, better known as The Browns, who had Phil, Karl and Ross showing no mercy in a 10-0 away win.

Greenfingers also lost 10-0 at home to Runcton Holme A, who had Tim Hines, Jerry Irving and John Mingay in top form.

On Thursday Heacham C had a narrow 6-4 win against a two-man Wasp side, who had Liam Irlam winning all his games with a four-ender and two five enders.
