Six Ryston Runners, and one potential member, worked up an appetite for their Easter eggs in the Trowse 10K road race on Sunday.
The oldest Ryston competitor fared best in terms of age group results, as Jane Ashby took the honours in the W65 category with 55:28 (chip time 53:34).
Phillip Seaman’s 48:03 (47:54) gained him second in the M55 category, while Simon Howling was third in the M50 category, 48th overall in 40:56 (40:54).
Mark Doughty was 141st of almost 450 competitors, running in with Phill Seaman to
clock 48:03 (chip 47:48). Kevin Smith knocked 12 minutes off last year’s GEAR time, and it is hoped he will be joining his mother and brother as a Ryston member soon.
Sue Smith bettered last year’s time by at least a minute, timed in at 61:44 (61:37).
Jo Brooks made up the Ryston contingent in 280th place with a time of 55:47 (54:47).
