Holme bird observatory has released a new DVD to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

The documentary was made by local film-maker Ken Lawson and explores a typical year at the observatory, which is managed by the Norfolk Ornithologists’ Association.

Viewers can experience the sights and sounds of the reserve as well expert interviews about its wildlife.

Established in 1962, it is Norfolk’s only accredited bird observatory and sightings there are recorded daily.

The 73-minute film, Holme Bird Observatory: A Year, costs £14.99.
