Revving up for 1960s Mods and Rockers

The summer programme of free entertainment in King’s Lynn continues on Sunday with a colourful Mods and Rockers event. The town’s Tuesday Market Place is set to play host to all manner of gleaming machines from the iconic 1960s and early 70s. Vespas, Lambrettas, Harleys and Triumph motorbikes and scooters, which were typical of the era, are due to be on display from 11am to 3pm along with other pride and joy machines. The event, organised by the Vancouver Quarter on behalf of West Norfolk Council, has been one of the town’s summer attractions for the past three years. Visitors will also be able to listen to music by local bands which will include The Extons and The Happy Jaxs. The following weekend of August 12 and 13 will see Folk in the Town.
